Social media shows you the highlight reel. The glow-up photo. The success post. The achievement announcement. What it never shows you is the 1,000 days before that post.
Nobody posts the 3am study sessions when they were preparing for an exam everyone thought they would fail. Nobody posts the rejection emails. Nobody posts the days when they almost gave up. Nobody posts the version of themselves that was being laughed at just two years before the success post.
The Invisible Work
Every person you admire — every person who built something, became someone, achieved what others said was impossible — went through a period of invisible work. Work that nobody saw, nobody appreciated, nobody validated. Work done in silence, fuelled by nothing except a private belief that it was going somewhere.
This invisible period is where most people quit. Because quitting feels rational when there is no external evidence that your work is paying off. The people who break through are not more talented than the people who quit. They are simply more willing to stay in the invisible period longer.

What Zero Actually Looks Like
Zero is being laughed at in class and going home and opening a book. Zero is getting picked last and going to the gym alone for six months. Zero is launching something that nobody cares about yet and showing up every day anyway. Zero is having zero followers, zero supporters, zero external proof that you are on the right path — and choosing to keep going.
Zero is not emptiness. Zero is the starting position of every person who ever became something remarkable.
